| February 27, 2007 8:00 PM

Geraldine (Whitmer) Evans passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Samaritan Hospial. She was surrounded by loved ones as she entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father.

Geraldine was born in Tacoma, Nov. 5, 1929. Her parents were Angus Don Whitmer and Conda Cox Jensen.

Geraldine married Harmon Aaron Evans, Nov. 27, 1948. Together they shared the blessing of raising 7 children: David Harmon, Donald James, Daniel Lee, Dale Lynn, Debbie Sue, Dawna May, Dana Aaron. Family was very important to Geraldine. She lived for her family. In her later years when most people would be thinking of retiring, Geraldine opened a ceramic shop. She owned and operated ÒGrannyÕs CeramicsÓ for 20 years here in Moses Lake. She taught both ceramics and her favorite porcelain dolls. She always told everyone, ÒCeramics is cheaper than a therapist.Ó Geraldine was a member of the Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-day Saints. She dreamed of being an eternal family and being sealed to her husband and children. That dream came true in November 2001 when they were sealed in the Spokane Temple. Geraldine taught all who knew her to never give up on your dreams. Geraldine will be missed greatly by all those who loved her, but will remain a constant and loving guide to all of us.

Geraldine was preceded in death by Harmon A. Evans (husband), Daniel L. Evans (son), Debbie S. Rose (daughter), Nelden Whitmer (brother).

Geraldine is survived by David H. Evans (Moses Lake), Donald J. Evans (Juanita, Libby Mt.), Dale L. Evans (Chih, Roy, Utah.) Dawna M. Smith (Jeff, Moses Lake), Dana A. Evans (Danelle, Almira, Wash.) 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one brother Keith Whitmer (Alyce, Calif.)

A memorial service was held Feb. 5, 2007, at the Latter-day Saints church on Grape Drive in Moses Lake. Geraldine was laid to rest next to her loving husband at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash.
