Mary Willett

Mary was called home on Jan. 29, 2007. She passed away at Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee, Wash. Mary Beth Buckingham Willett was born to Spurgen and Olidia Buckingham in Langdon, N.D. on Sept. 24, 1941. Mary's family moved from North Dakota to Yakima in 1945 where she graduated from Davis High School on June 3, 1959. Mary was confirmed at Centeras Lutheran Church on May 28, 1955, in Yakima.

Mary was wed to Darrell James Willett on March 5, 1960. They celebrated 47 years of marriage. To this union God gave three children; Lori, Michael and Sandra.

Her hobbies included bowling, camping, reading, spending time with family and friends, especially her two grandchildren; Joshua and Jacob, who will miss her dearly.

She was emplyed at Papa Gayo's for 11 years and was well-known for serving at Airway Deli Minimart.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, two sisters and one daughter.

Mary is survived by her husband Darrell James Willett, daughter Lori Marcel Gonzalez, son Michael Anthoney Willett, grandsons Joshua James and Jacob Alexander Gonzalez, all of which are from Moses Lake. She is also survived by nieces JoAnn and Valerie, nephew Steven, great niece Catherine, great nephews Kevin and his wife Jessica, all of which reside in Yakima.

A memorial will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1020 South A. Street in Moses Lake on Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. The service will be held by Pastor David Daugs and a luncheon will follow, hosted by the Immanuel Lutheran Church and friends and family. Memorials and flowers may be sent to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in memory of Mary Willett.

She will be loved and missed but remains in our hearts forever.
