MOSES LAKE — Five vehicles were prowled Tuesday in Moses Lake.

The first reported incidence took place on South Woodberry Street, the Moses Lake Police Department reported. It was reported at 11:47 a.m. The front passenger window to the vehicle was broken and a stereo, speaker box and amplifier were stolen.

The next two prowls took place on North Stratford Road.

At 6:33 p.m. a victim reported his vehicle was broken into and the stereo taken. He was parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

At 6:40 p.m. a victim reported a window to his vehicle was broken and the trim around his stereo removed. The vehicle was parked in the Food Pavilion parking lot.

At 7:10 p.m. a victim reported her car was entered and several items were taken. A day planner, three debit cards and her driver's license were stolen from her vehicle parked in the Bank of America parking lot.

At 7:19 p.m. a victim reported the driver's door window to her vehicle was broken and the face plate to her stereo was stolen along with a cash box located in the trunk containing $150. The vehicle was parked near North Stratford Road.

Suspect information is limited, Moses Lake Police Chief Dean Mitchell said.

During one of the vehicle prowls two males were seen reaching into a vehicle in the 900 block of North Stratford Road and fled the scene in a white vehicle.

No other suspect information is available, he said.

To handle the problem, the department is sending out additional emphasis patrols specific to the issue, Mitchell said.

People with information related to the vehicle prowls are encouraged to contact the department at 1-509-766-9230.
