DENVER - The National High School Rodeo Association appointed Moses Lake resident Matea Frensdorf to the Wrangler High School All Star Rodeo Team, the first-ever corporate-sponsored rodeo team.

The high school team is fashioned after Wrangler's Champion Pro Rodeo Team, which includes icons such as Trevor Brazile, Joe Beaver, Dan Mortensen, Dustin Elliot, Kelly Kaminski, Will Lowe and Hall of Famer Jim Shoulders.

Frensdorf earned a spot on the squad because of her leadership qualities, academic eligibility and athletic achievements.

"We are excited to again this year expand Wrangler's rodeo sponsorship program at the high school level," said Karl Stressman, special events manager for Wrangler Rodeo. "As always, it gives us a tremendous sense of pride to associate the Wrangler brand with promising young men and women."

Members of the all star team receive official competition apparel, including 20 team logo T-shirts and two pairs of competition jeans. They also receive official team certificates.
