Pleaded innocent

OTHELLO - Three Othello brothers pleaded innocent this week in Adams County Superior Court to possessing stolen property taken during two home invasion burglaries in November.

The brothers, Jeremy Ruelas, 22, Robert Ruelas, 20, and Gabriel Ruelas, 19, were arrested Saturday on suspicion of residential burglary and possession of stolen property.

Bail for Gabriel Ruelas and Jeremy Ruelas was set at $3,000. Robert Ruelas' bail is $3,500.

The robberies happened Nov. 12 near rural Bench Road in Adams County, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

The Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team was requested to help serve a warrant at the Mockingbird Lane home the brothers were staying at near Othello.

The team was brought in because the brothers have been known to have guns, said Adams County Undersheriff John Hunt.

A BB gun and other undisclosed items were recovered by police, Hunt said. He declined to name the items found because of the ongoing investigation.

"But we did recover enough items that have been positively identified as coming from those homes," he said.

The homeowners were home at the time of the robberies, but no one was held at gunpoint, Hunt said. At least one of the homeowners was sleeping, he said.
