Dean (Kostaki) Kastanis

Dean (Kostaki) Kastanis passed away peacefully with his children at his side on Dec. 19, 2007, at the age of 74 in Moses Lake.

He was chairman of the Moses Lake Planning Commission, active in the chamber of commerce and a retired manager of the Columbia Basin Federal Credit Union. He was a kind and gentle man to all those he touched.

Dean was preceded in death by his beloved wife Peggy, also active in Moses Lake civic affairs.

He dearly loved his brothers Jim and Terry, his four children Perry (Susan), Patricia (Sonny), Rachel (Ghislain), and Ande (Yvonne), and his 10 grandchildren Nicholas, Alexandra, Malea, Kaeli, Elena, Camille, Gabrielle, Juliette, Ladon and Gianna.

Dean will be laid to rest near family in Salt Lake City. Dean will be missed by the Spokane Parish of the Greek Orthodox Church where he was an active member of the Parish Council. May his memory be eternal.
