RITZVILLE - Sophomore Emma Bouwman scored 13 points on 5 of 6 from the field as the Lind-Ritzville Lady Broncos knocked off the Valley Christian Panthers 53-14 on Tuesday night.

Lind-Ritzville (3-1 overall, 1-1 Bi-County League) also got 13 points from senior Katlin Fowles and seven rebounds from junior Sabrina Saetre in its victory. The Lady Broncos played impressive defense all night as well, holding the Panthers to two points in the second half.

"We didn't do anything exciting to shut them down either," Broncos head coach Randy Heidenreich said. "We just played good, solid defense."

Lind-Ritzville travels to Wilbur-Creston for a Friday night game at 6 p.m.

Heidenreich expects good things from his squad based on the veteran leadership and depth it possesses.

"We should hopefully be one of the top three teams in our league," he said. "We have a good mix of older girls. We do a lot of subbing - our bench is pretty even with our starters."

Colfax 58, Warden 24

WARDEN - The Lady Cougars had all sorts of trouble with the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, but with good reason - Colfax has won the past four 1A state titles and five of the last six.

Cassandra Kisler had a team-high seven points for Warden, Emma Bisnett collected six rebounds and Kacey Kisler added five boards. But the Lady Cougars fell well short and are still looking for their first victory heading into Saturday's 6 p.m. home game against Kittitas.

"We're kind of in a rebuilding year," Warden head coach Todd Kisler said. "We lost the starting five to graduation last year.

"We're just kind of getting the feel for each other," he added. "We'll get things going just as soon as we stop playing these state championship teams."
