| December 11, 2007 8:00 PM

WENATCHEE - The Moses Lake Manta Rays swim team took 19 competitors to the Christmas Invitational 2007 last weekend.

The swimmers included team captain Hannah Grigg, Elaura Grant, Emmy Pruneda, Corey Bradshaw, Brenden Eslick, Jacob Shank, Anna Fair, Nicole Eslick, Hailey Tolliver, Addison Fair, Krista Hutsell, Kirsten Hutsell, Rachel Giddings, Gabriella Hall, Rachel Horning, Madison Hansen, Alexis Mounts, Monique Koste and Cameron Hansen.

The Manta Rays have devoted a lot of time to the pool in the past few months and it paid off for six swimmers who received "A" qualifying times - Krista Hutsell, Cameron Hansen, Jacob Shank, Anna Fair, Gabriella Hall and Rachel Horning.

The team will continue training hard, increasing their yardage during the Christmas break in anticipation of championship meets in January and February.

The Manta Rays' main focus points this year have been team unity, working hard, working together, having fun and encouraging each other to achieve individual goals. Many swimmers swam personal-best times at Wenatchee and tried events they hadn't done before.

The Manta Rays will host a dual meet against Wenatchee Racquet and Athletic Club this Saturday at the Moses Lake High School pool. The meet runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
