EAST WENATCHEE - Moses Lake High School's boys swimming team competed at the area-wide Central Washington Pentathlon on Friday at Eastmont High School.

In a meet that featured 150 swimmers from the Yakima, Wenatchee and Moses Lake area, the Chiefs did quite well by placing three in the top 20. Marshall Goodrich was fourth overall, followed by Eric Butterfield (seventh) and Reuben Huddleston (17th).

In the pentathlon format, each swimmer competes in five events and their total time is added up to produce a final placing. No team scores were kept.

A diving competition was also held, with Moses Lake's Jay Bowser taking sixth and Chad Borg taking ninth. Each diver did five required dives.

Moses Lake hosts a dive competition on Friday at noon, and the full team is back in action next Tuesday, Dec. 18, when it hosts the Davis Pirates at 2:30 p.m.
