Franklin E. Rowley

Franklin E. Rowley, 73, went to be with his loving wife on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007. He was born in Yakima, Oct. 4t, 1934, to Mr. and Mrs. Leland Rowley. At an early age Frank joined the Navy and enjoyed a long 20-year career serving his country and traveling the globe. He married Carol Woods, during his career with the Navy and took on the role as father to Carol's six children. He retired from the Navy in 1970 with full honors, the same year he and Carol had their youngest son.

Frank then worked for various companies until in the late 70s. He started a new career at Boeing Industries as a mechanic. He retired from Boeing in 1989 at which time he and his wife, Carol, enjoyed traveling the country. In 1991 the couple decided to settle in Othello and enjoy their retirement.

Frank was very active in the Masonic lodge where he spent many years as a mentor. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Royal City for several years. Frank enjoyed fishing, playing cards, doing woodwork in his shop, and having bar-b-ques with his family and friends at his home.

Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife Carol Mae Rowley, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Leland Rowley. He is survived by his sister Velda Gamble (Richard), of Moses Lake, his sons and daughters, Patty Simmons (Woody) of Stockbridge, Ga., Bruce Spalding (Vicky) of Arlington, Kathy Martinez of Snohomish, Altamae Millsap (Randy) of Everett, Maggie LaBorne (John) of Federal Way, BJ Spalding of Everett, Scott Ferguson (Lisa) of Ronald, Woody Rowley of Moses Lake and his 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

By his requests no services are to be held. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.
