More primary votes counted

Incumbent leads in votes

MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake City Council candidates collected more votes since the last ballot tabulation.

Ballots were last tabulated Wednesday morning.

Incumbent Richard Pearce continues to lead the candidates with 904 votes. Pearce picked up 62 more votes since the last update.

Darrin Jackson follows with 671 votes. Jackson accumulated 50 additional votes since the last update.

Richard Beeson comes in last with 206 votes. Beeson collected 19 additional votes.

The primary election eliminated Beeson from the race.

According to the Grant County Auditor's Office, there are 15 more votes to be counted.

Nearly 30 percent of voters participated in the Grant County primary election. There are 8,028 registered voters in the county.

The Adams County Auditor's Office indicated they would be releasing updated results Sept. 5.

The general election is slated for Nov. 6.
