CONTROL DISTRICT #1 BOARD OF TRUSTEES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a hearing will be held before the Board of Trustees of the Grant County Mosquito Control District #1 concerning the classification and assessment of property within said District and that the assessment indicating individual assessment amounts determined according to the benefits derived by property within the District from the operation of the District shall be in the possession of the Board of Trustees and on file at the Assessor's Office, Grant County Court House, Ephrata, Washington, and that such assessment may be inspected at any time after the 30th day of September, 2007, during the hours of 8:00 a.m., and 5:00 p.m..
That a hearing on said assessment will be held before the Board of Trustees of the Grant County Mosquito Control District #1 at the Grant County Mosquito Control District #1 Office, located at 11905 Road 4NE, Parcel #16, Moses Lake, Washington, on the 10th day of September, 2007, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. and at such other places and times as the hearing may be continued to, at which time any person may appear before the Board of Trustees. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 in Grant County, State of Washington, there will be held a Primary Election for the purpose of submitting to the voters, Nominees for Local offices and a Special Election, for their approval or rejection.
Grant County is an All Mail County. No Polling places will be available. You may return your ballot by mail or in person. Returning your ballot by mail requires a first-class postage stamp. Your ballot must be postmarked no later than the day of the election. We suggest you mail your ballot by Monday the day before the election or sooner, to ensure a valid postmark.
You may bring your ballot to the Grant County Auditor's Office starting 18 days prior to Election Day, at 35 C St NW, Ephrata Washington. Office hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The following designated drop-off locations will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. for ballot drop off.

Proposition No. 1
Authorizing Regular Property Tax Levy Increase
The Board of Fire Commissioners of Grant County Fire Protection District No. 13 adopted Resolution No. 07-02, concerning a proposition to authorize an increase for the regular property tax levy. This proposition would lift the lid on regular property tax levies as outlined in chapter 84.55 RCW, pursuant to RCW 84.55.050 and authorize the District to restore the regular property levy to $1.00 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for collection in 2008, which amount would be used to compute the limitations for subsequent levies, subject to any otherwise applicable statutory dollar rate limitations.
