Richard O. Ragan, 79, longtime Moses Lake resident passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Aug. 4, 2007, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.

He spent several years moving with his wife Shirley and his sons Mitch and Brock and his sister Billie, brother Jack and their families with the Minutemen missiles, before settling back in Moses Lake in 1967. Richard often spoke fondly of the time and their adventures his family had traveling around the missile sites together.

Richard retired from ALCOA in 1994 and enjoyed traveling with his wife Shirley and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Shirley, two sons Mitch and Brock and their families, four grandchildren, his sister Billie and husband Bob and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will hold a private gathering to commemorate his life. In lieu of cards and flowers the family would prefer a donation in his name to the Cancer Research Foundation.
