Larry Olson

"Mr. O!" Larry Olson, 51, a longtime Moses Lake resident drowned in Billy Clapp Lake near Wilson Creek. His body was recovered Aug. 1, 2007.

He was born Dec. 18, 1955, in Sacramento, Calif. He lived in Stockton, Calif., until his family moved to Moses Lake as a young boy.

Larry graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1974. After his graduation he was accepted into the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 598 Apprentice Program. After becoming a journeyman steamfitter he worked for many contractors and traveled all over the United States. He was awarded his 30 year pin this past year. During this period of time he worked nine years for the Grant County PUD at Wanapum and Priest Rapids dams.

Larry married Debbie Crnkovich on Oct. 1, 1994, in Kennewick, the couple were separated at the time of his death.

He was one of the finest craftsman's known to his trade. Mr. O! knew no strangers, he was a kind and generous man. He was a longtime member of the Eagles 2622 and 2485.

Larry had a great passion for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, metal detecting and rock collecting. He also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles the harder the better was his motto.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and June Bradford of Moses Lake; sister Margaret (Maggie) Thomas, nephew Kenny Thomas. He was survived by wife Deb Olson, Pasco, brother and sister-in-law Gayle and Charlene Thomas, sister and brother in-law Bonnie and Joe Alvarez, Happy Camp, Calif., sister Janet Leonard, Bob Barkley, California, Bob Bradford, Yakima, aunt Ruth, North Dakota, cousin Bill and Shirley Farmer, Craig, Alaska, father-in-law and mother in-law Charles(deceased) and Phyllis, Kennewick brother-in-law Chuck D. Crnkovich (deceased), brother-in-law Don Crnkovich, Kennewick, brother and sister-in-law Steve and Britt Crnkovich, Richland, sister and brother in-law Cathy and Rich Aubrey, Kennewick, Cheryl and Darwin Kind, Ulm, Mont., Sue and Bill Caruso, Spokane; Nephews, James, Dean, Joe, Ryan, Daniel, Keyston, Jim and Tanner; Nieces, Carmen, Crista, Tiffani, Danielle, Madison, Lori Sue, Julie, Falicia, Stacie, Celesty, Natasha, Caitlin E, Caitlin M. He was also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews in the California area and many dear friends.

Larry will be deeply missed, please join us in celebration of his life at Mueller's Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 10, at 12:30 p.m., at 1608 W. Court Street in Pasco, Wash.

A second celebration will be held at the Elks Lodge in Moses Lake Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Local 598 Food Bank Fund 1328 N. 28th Ave, Pasco WA 99301 in Larry's name.
