Randal William "Randy" Wright

Randal William "Randy" Wright, age 56, died suddenly at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake on Saturday, July 28, 2007. Randy was born the eighth of nine children on June 7, 1951, in Saint Ignatius, Mont. to Ronald Desmond and Flora Hazel (Thornock) Wright.

Randy grew up in the Moses Lake and Ephrata area. He graduated from Ephrata High School in June 1970. Randy served a two-year Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Dallas Region from 1974 to 1976. He then served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was Honorably Discharged in October 1978. Randy met his wife, Connie Withem in June 1979 and they were sealed together on Feb. 14, 1980, in the Cardston Alberta Temple, Alberta, Canada. Through this union they were blessed with three children, Michael Desmond, Thomas James and Kyndra Ann-Michelle.

Randy's favorite hobbies include working on his model cars, camping, target practicing and going on long rides with his children. Randy's sweet spirit will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Randy is survived by his wife Connie, his two sons Michael Wright, Thomas (Taresa) Wright, daughter Kyndra; brother Ronald L. (Helen) Wright of Hudson, Mass., Edward J. "Ted" (Sandy) Wright of Moses Lake, Robin (Sherry) Wright of Texas, two sisters Cheryl Brown and Joey Clark of Moses Lake; two sisters-in-law Audrey Wright of Mackay, Idaho and Rita Wright Coley of Ephrata and two very special grandchildren Ricky and Kaedence Wright; 13 nephews and 13 nieces and their spouses.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Flora Wright, two brothers Ned and Mickey Wright and one sister, Brenda Wright.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2007, in Grape Drive Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 925 N. Grape Dr., Moses Lake. Viewing will be just prior to the services from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Burial and concluding services will immediately follow the services in the Ephrata Cemetery, Ephrata.
