Double eagle at Moses Pointe

MOSES LAKE — Dan Oberg finished the 18th hole at The Links at Moses Pointe in two shots.

Oberg shot a double eagle on the par 5 hole, covering the 505 yards in two strokes. He said he drove the ball nearly 300 yards from the tee and his second shot was 225 yards with a four wood.

He said he heard people cheer when the ball went in but wasn't sure because he was more than two football fields away.

"I've had many eagles and come within inches of double eagles before," Oberg said. "I was joking because I was 3-over-par for the day and said, 'I need a double eagle,' just before it happened."
