Paul O. Mora

Paul O. Mora went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 6, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer, at home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born to Andrea Ortiz and Federico Mora on June 7, 1927, in Fort Morgan, Colo. Paul and Ruth Guzman were married on Nov. 6, 1944, in Wapato, Wash. Paul and Ruth made their home in Quincy in 1957. He retired from Schaake Feedlot after 30 years in the cattle industry.

Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years and six children, Paul Mora Jr. of Auburn, Jo Cronyn of Spokane , Helen and Lena Swanson of Moses Lake, Louisa Mora of East Wenatchee, Andrea Carlson of Moses Lake and Alicia Roach of East Wenatchee. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all his heart, they brought him great joy. He had 10 grandchildren and eight-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Benny Mora of Seattle, Richard Mora of Denver, Colo. and Joe Mora of San Jose, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, Federico and Andrea Mora; three sons, David, Laurence and Frankie; two brothers, Fred Mora Sr. and Tony Mora; two sisters, Julia Munoz and Prehedis Ayon.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Quincy First Assembly of Church, officiated by Pastor Scott Peterson, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14. Inurnment services will follow in the Quincy Valley Cemetery. Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy is in charge of the arrangements.
