Linda Marie (Minger) Buchmann passed away on March 24, 2007, at the age of 57, at SunBridge Care after a tough battle with cancer. Her last weeks were spent with many loved ones at her side.

She was born, the middle of three children, in Terre Haute, Ind., on Oct. 17, 1949, to Fred and Mina Minger. Their family later moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where she attended Maryvale High School. In 1967 she met and married her first husband, Neil Nagy, and later had two children of her own. After a divorce, Linda stayed in Phoenix for a while and later moved to Louisiana and opened up a seafood restaurant. In 1989, Linda decided to move to Moses Lake, where she met Edward Buchmann, the love of her life. After a long courtship, they married on March 26, 1999.

She and Ed enjoyed life to the fullest. One of their favorite things to do together was to drive their motorhome to Downs Lake and drop their boat in the water and fish and camp. They also had traveled throughout many states across the country. She was able to make one last trip to Arizona in February to spend time with her life-long best friend Iris Poling and her husband Tim along with their kids and grandkids.

Linda worked for Wal-Mart for over 13 years. There she made many friends and touched many hearts. In January of 2006, she was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. She was determined to fight and beat it. Throughout her battle, she remained loving, caring and joyful. Everyone who knew Linda will always remember her wonderful smile, her laugh, her kind heart and generous spirit. She will be missed immensely.

She is survived by her husband Edward Buchmann, of Moses Lake, her son Christopher Nagy and his wife Kristen, of Phoenix, Ariz., her daughter Jamie Smith and her husband Michael, of Moses Lake, her brother Stephen Minger and his wife Charlene of Fort Washington, Md., her brother Paul Minger and his wife Linda of Chicago, Ill., her stepson Hank Buchmann and his wife Rebecca of Moses Lake, her stepdaughter Perci Owens of Wenatchee and her stepdaughter Michelle Taylor and her husband Kevin of Ephrata. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, Tyler, Kennedy, Matt and his wife Nichole, Christopher and his wife Rachelle, Alex, Jeff and his wife Debbie, Hank, Robb and his wife Heather, and great-grandchildren Henry, Zachery, Zoe, Tanner, Noah, Kina, Debbie, Alex and Dusty. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Fred and Mina Minger.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14, at 1 p.m., at Grace Lutheran Church located at 303 E. Nelson Road in Moses Lake. A gathering in celebration of her life will follow.
