Notice of Application and Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that a Conditional Use Permit was received on July 21, 2006 from EnCana Oil & Gas Inc. (Designated Contact: Gary Houghton, 370 17th St., Suite 1700, Denver, CO 80202, 720-876-3506); and was found to be technically complete and preliminarily appears to be consistent with the Unified Development Code and other applicable State and local requirements as of September 15, 2006. PROJECT: A Conditionl Use Permit for an oil and gas operation including, an exploratory 14,000' deep well for the purposes of testing for viable natural gas resources, and associated temporary developments. SEPA: DNS issued by DNR on 8/18/2006. ADDITIOAL PERMITS: None. STUDIES REQUIRED: None. LOCATION: The project area is located in the southwest quarter of the intersection of RD R-SW and Beverly Burke RD, and is in the SW quarter of the NW quarter of S 24, T 16 N, R 23 E, Willamette Meridian, Grant County, Washington. (parcel # 21-0560-000) ZONING: Rural Remote. Required mitigation will be pursuant to the Unified Development Code. OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING: Hearing Examiner, 12 pm, October 11, 2006 in the Commissioner's Hearing Room, at the Grant County Courthouse, 35 C Street NW, Ephrata, WA 98823. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony. Copies of the application materials (File #06-4549) are available from Hector Torres at the Grant County Planning Department at 32 C. St. NW, Room 26a, P.O. Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extention 623; office hours are 8am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Comments must be submitted no later than 5pm October 4, 2006 to the Planning Department. All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile. Any person has the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the above listed materials.
