NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
GRANT COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT NO. 4
Grant County Fire District No. 4 ("Fire District No. 4") has received a petition from landowners seeking annexation of property into Fire District No. 4. Fire District No. 4 will hold a public hearing on September 25, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible at Fire District No. 4, 114 North Oak Street, Warden, Washington, to receive public testimony on the proposed annexation of property as provided in RCW 52.04.041.
The MERGED area would be that which lies in Block 43 of the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District (ECBID) west of the East Low Canal where the canal enters Adams County in Range 31 East, Township 18 North on the north to where it re-enters Grant County on the south in Range 31 East and Township 17 North, but would also include two farm units (Farm Units 178, Block 43 and 227, Block 44, ECBID) east of the canal just north of the Warden-Lind Road. Specific farm units located in Block 43 ECBID include Farm Units 147, 148, 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156, 157, 162, 163, 166, 167, 168, 169, 170, 172, 173, 177, 179, 180, 181, 182, 183, 184, 187, 192, 197, 198, 199, 200, 201, 202 and in Block 44, Unit 27. In addition, the properties commonly known as 898 West Lind-Warden Highway and 1001 West Lind-Warden Highway.
Public testimony on the proposed annexation will be taken at the hearing. Any person may submit written comments regarding the proposal or obtain a map or additional information at: Grant County Fire District No. 4, 114 North Oak Street, Warden, Washington 98857. Written comments and oral testimony at all public hearings will be made part of the public record.
