The WSU Tri-Cities GEAR UP Program and the Moses Lake School District (MLSD) has recently been awarded funding for a 5' x 8' illuminated reader board to be placed at Columbia Basin Secondary School, on the corner of Randolph and Patton Blvd. The scope of the project will include all installation, hookup, blueprints and all specifications for sign parts and assembly, excavation, the concrete slab, fittings, hotboxes, and hook up, with graphics design and letters with pole changer.

The sign would display the school's name, color (seafoam green), the school mascot/logo, and reference to WSU Harvest of Hope GEAR UP as a contributing partner and reader board track for letter placement.

A sample of the signs graphical design must to be submitted prior to fabrication.

Plan specifications may be obtained by telephone from the Moses Lake School District Maintenance Department at 509-766-2683, 7:30 am to 3 pm M-F.

Quotes for this project need to be submitted by September 15, 2006. Quotes will not be accepted after the deadline date. It is the responsibility of all interested and qualified parties to insure that their quote is physically received in the Maintenance Department Office prior to the above date. No responsibilty will be taken by the school district or WSU for delays in the United States mail, internet-district mail, miss-addressing, misdirected, or wrong delivery.

All interested and qualifed parties must possess all applicable valid business licenses. Bidders will assure WSU and the MLSD that they will comply with all the state and federal guidelines and/or regulations. Therefore, any party wishing to do business with WSU and/or the School District will not discriminate against race, color national origin, sex or handicap. This is in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, July 26, 1990, P.L. 101-336, and the Title IXI RCW 28A. 640 of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended.
