Quincy students offer Halloween face painting for fund-raiser
QUINCY — Quincy High-Tech High hosts Halloween face painting to raise money for a school dance tomorrow night.
"This is the very first time they have done face painting," Paraprofessional Troy Jimerson said. "We're gonna hand out candy for (kids)."
Money raised from the face painting goes to the Associated Student Body fund. Right now the fund is empty, he said. There is no money for a school dance.
Students at the high school wear uniforms. The ASB fund is for uniform purchases and the students reimburse the fund, he added. There are several uniforms that were never purchased causing the fund to be empty.
The ASB put the fund-raiser into action by collecting donations of face paint and candy from Quincy businesses.
The activity is held at the school located at 404 First Ave. S.W. from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Halloween.
Face painting is $3 and a digital photograph to take home is $2.
Quincy elementary students are encouraged to attend, Jimerson said.
