Bettly L. Hauge
Betty L. Hauge, 74, a resident of Moses Lake, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006 in a Spokane Hospital, surrounded by her family.
The daughter of Floyd Percy Horch and Evalina Eugenia Miller (Horch), Betty was born Nov. 2, 1931 in Ritzville. She graduated from Ritzville High School in 1949. Betty married Leonard F. Hauge in 1951. She moved with her daughter Joan to Seattle in 1963. Betty was employed at the University of Washington Hospital as an Order Service Coordinator. Duties were ordering medical and dental supplies for the hospital and dental school. Betty worked there 28 years, from July 1976 until her retirement in March of 2004. She then moved to Moses Lake to be near her family.
She is survived by her daughter Joan Marie (Daniel S.) Peters of Moses Lake; a brother August Miles "Mike" Horch, "her sweet brother" as she called him, a recent transplant to Moses Lake, from the St. Louis area after more than 30 years. Also, her grandchildren Daniel D. (Amber-Lea) Beck of Klamath Falls, Ore.; Mariah J. Kelley of Westminster, Colo.; Todd A. (Denise) Mount of Madison, W. Va.; Carla J. (Rudy) Herold of Washougal; and Daniel D. (Rusan) Peters of Moses Lake; great grandchildren: Ethan D. Tyler D. and Derek R. Beck; Levi E. Kelley; Crystal A and Joshua D. Herold and Barbara D. Peters; David W. Taylor-Peters; Kathy L. Taylor-Peters. Betty was so very proud of her daughter, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They were her great joy.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m., at the Danekas Funeral Home Chapel, Ritzville, with vault internment at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Ritzville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, the day of the funeral.
