NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PETITION FOR WITHDRAWAL OF LANDS FROM
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 2 OF ADAMS COUNTY
AND ANNEXATION INTO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 4
OF GRANT COUNTY
Grant County Fire District No. 4 ("Fire District No. 4") has received a petition from landowners seeking annexation of property into Fire District No. 4. Fire District No. 4 will hold a public hearing on October 16, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible at Fire District No. 4, 114 North Oak Street, Warden, Washington, to receive public testimony on the proposed annexation of property as provided in RCW 52.04.041.
The proposed annexed property is described as follows: That real property situated in Block 43 of the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District ("ECBID") lying between the current boundary of GCFD No.4 and that portion of the East Low Canal beginning on the north at the point such canal enters Adams County in Range 31 East, Township 18 North, and extending to the south to the point at which such canal re-enters Grant County in Range 31 East and Township 17 North, and including Farm Unit 178, Block 43 and Farm Unit 227, Block 44. The specific farm units contained the Subject Property include Farm Units 147 thru 157, 162, 163, 166 thru 170, 172, 173, 177 thru 184, 187, 192, 197 thru 202, all located in Block 43, and Farm Units 226 and 227, Block 44.
Public testimony on the proposed annexation will be taken at the hearing. Any person may submit written comments regarding the proposal or obtain a map or additional information at: Grant County Fire District No. 4, 114 North Oak Street, Warden, Washington 98857. Written comments and oral testimony at all public hearings will be made part of the public record.
