Lyman Wesley
Lyman Wesley, former Warden resident, passed away at his home at Camano Island on Oct. 3, 2006. He was born in Sunnyside to Don and Ruth Wesley on Nov. 14, 1947. When Lyman was 5 years old, he and his family moved to Warden. After helping his dad farm for many years, he began farming on his own at 15 years of age. He graduated from Warden High School in 1966.
It was in Warden that Lyman met and married Pamela Stear, the love of his life. In 1972, he packed up his family and moved to Camano Island to start a new career in welding. He worked at Twin City Foods for 20 years before retiring.
The first Wesley Welding shop opened in 1984. It was Lyman's intention for his two sons to run the business. He was very proud of how much WesWeld Corp. has grown. For the past 10 years he had his dream job of working for his sons at WesWeld. He loved every minute of it.
His grandchildren: Ryan, Kyle, Rachael, Stephanie, Taylor, Nicole, Madison, Gabriel, Winter and Sky, played an important part of his life. He was very proud of them.
Lyman was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Pam of 40 years, his brother and sister-in-law Duane and Sue Wesley, his son Rick Wesley, his son and daughter-in-law Steve and Kendall Wesley, and his 10 grandchildren, and many friends.
A celebration memorial will be held Thursday, Oct. 12, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Camano Senior and Community Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island.
