Diane Ruth Moe
Diane Ruth Moe died in a Wenatchee hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006. She was born in Wenatchee on Jan. 14, 1932.
Her father E.B. Helgesen, mother Ruth G. (Dull) Helgesen and brother Kerry and sisters Patty, and Betty preceded her in death.
Diane grew up in Seattle, graduating from Ballard High School in 1949. She worked briefly for Bell Telephone Co. in Seattle.
She married William B. Moe on Oct. 4, 1950. They moved across the mountains to Moses Lake in 1951 where they have resided since. She lived her life to the fullest, by taking an active part in the growing community by the lake. She found time for many activities such as Little League Baseball with her two sons.
Diane was an active partner with her husband Bill's business Central Towing Service, which has and still is part of the Moses Lake community.
Diane enjoyed all water sports, including fishing, boating and water skiing. She was one of the earlier water skiers on the lake. She spent endless hours fishing on Moses Lake, Lake Warden, Seep Lakes and other Pothole Lakes with her fishing buddy Betty Holtz. Through the years Diane as a result of her bowling skills collected numerous bowling trophies. She was always devoted to her family and friends she will be loved and missed by all!
Diane is survived by Bill, her loving husband of 56 years; two sons David William (Jeannie) Of St. Ignatius, Mont., Daniel Wayne (Cheryl) of Moses Lake; grandchildren Katy Marie Bostock (Kyle) of Sand Point, Idaho; Carrie Jalene Moe of Spokane, Riley, Chloe, and Wyatt Moe of Moses Lake and a host of other family and friends.
Celebration of her life will be announced next spring.
