Notice of Application

and Public Hearing

The City of Moses Lake has received the following applications:

1. Moses Lake Christian Church submitted an application for site plan review on Sept. 25, 2006. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on Sept. 29, 2006. The proposal is to construct a 12,500 square foot church building with associated parking. The site is located in the R-1 Single Family Zone at the northeast corner of Yonezawa and Division, Tax #8786.

2. The City of Moses Lake submitted an application for site plan review on Sept. 28, 2006. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on Oct. 2, 2006. The proposal is to place a 2,016 square foot portable building to be used as offices for a city department. The site is located in the C-1 Central Business District at 225 E. 4th Avenue, Lots 22-24, Block 18, Plat of Neppel.

These projects have been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable to the projects: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 16: Buildings and Construction, Title 18: Zoning, and Title 20: Development Review Process.

The Planning Commission will conduct public hearings for each project on Oct. 26, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.

Written comments on these proposals will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on these proposals should provide their name and address to the project planner. The final decision on these proposals will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in MLMC 20.11, Appeals.
