Reva Alene Spangler-Hufty
Reva Alene Spangler-Hufty, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away on Nov. 25, 2006.
Memorial Services will be held on Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Moses Lake, 946 Ironwood Drive. Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
Alene was born July 23, 1915 in Howard, S.D. to Robert and Ada Parsley. She was next to oldest of eight children. She graduated from high school at Enumclaw. They then moved to Leavenworth, where she met Edwin Spangler. They were married in Cashmere, Nov. 23, 1938. They moved to Moses Lake in Sept. of 1950.
Alene was a charter member of United Methodist Church of Moses Lake and was very active in church work over the years. Alene was active in the V.F.W. Auxiliary, a member of AARP and a member of the TOPS club. Alene loved to dance, play cards, crochet, and work in her yard. She especially loved her roses.
Alene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed (1990), husband Bill Hufty (1995), a sister Eloa Fullenwider, a brother Dale Parsley, and a brother Merle Parsley. She is survived by her sister Lois Fullenwider of Wenatchee, her sister Audrey (Clarence) Allen of Kent, her brother James (Bess) Parsley of Wenatchee, and her brother Brice Parsley. She is also survived by her two sons Dennis (Angie) Spangler of Moses Lake, and Larry (Mary) of Spokane, six grandchildren: Nathan Spangler of Spokane, WA, Sean Spangler of El Paso, Texas, Breanne Spangler of Moses Lake, Molly Morrison of Kennewick, Brandie (Camrom) Bishop of Moses Lake, Ryan (Kendra) Pfundheller of Moses Lake. Five great-grandchildren: Hailee Bishop, Deven Bishop, Deven Moos, Dylan Moos, and Brayden Pfundheller. A host of wonderful nieces and nephews. And a host of wonderful friends.
