Pedestrian hit in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — A 19-year-old male was hit by a vehicle while crossing a street in Moses Lake Monday.

The 19-year-old was allegedly crossing South Pioneer Way in the crosswalk on East Hill Avenue, Moses Lake Police reported.

A 52-year-old Quincy woman reportedly struck him with her 2003 Chevrolet Suburban as she was making a left turn from Hill Avenue onto Pioneer Way, police reported.

The 19-year-old was transported to Samaritan Hospital for minor injuries.

Police report the cause of the accident to be failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

A citation has not been sent to the Quincy woman, police said.
