Manta Rays set new records

The Moses Lake Manta Rays traveled to the Turkey Trot Invitational at Eastern Washington University in Cheney Nov. 17 through 19. The Manta Rays took 25 swimmers to the meet and all the competitors returned home with personal best times.

Courtney Schwiesow placed 12th in the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:47.46 and set a new individual team record.

The girls 8-and-under 100-meter freestyle relay team of Joelle Garrett, Anna Fair, Hailey Tolliver and Addison Fair set a new team record with a time of 1:32.31.

The team of Gannon McElligott, Ethan Boyd, Jacob Shank and Elliott Boyd finished the boys 8-and-under 100-meter freestyle relay with a time of 1:23.96.

Schwiesow, Alex Walsh, Amber Garrett and Victoria Dalrymple teamed up for the 11- and 12-year-old girls 200-meter freestyle relay and finished with a time of 2:11.55.

In the 11- and 12-year-old girls 200-meter medley relay Dalrymple, Schwiesow, Walsh and Amber Garrett teamed up again and finished with a time 2:39.21.
