Carroll 'Abe' Littleton

Carroll "Abe" Littleton, 85, longtime Soap Lake resident, passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee.

Cremation arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Carroll was born Jan. 5, 1921 at Rosalia, Wash.

He attended school in a one room school house for five years. He attended school from sixth grade through tenth grade at St. Johns.

He started driving teams of horses before tractors came out in 1937.

He moved to Ferndale, Wash., in the fall of 1942 where he met his future wife, Bettylee. The two were married on June 1, 1945 and had many happy years together.

To this union came 3 daughters and a son.

Carroll spent his life helping others with any work needing to be done. He kept a smile on his face at all times and was constantly comforting those around him. He will be missed by all who knew him, young and old alike.

He is survived by his wife, Bettylee of Soap Lake; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and James Richardson, Trudy & Thomas Woodworth and Melody & Stephen Pullen; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard & Marilyn Littleton; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild on the way.

Carroll will meet his grandson Tedd Woodworth, who went to be with the lord in 1998.
