Batman comes to Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE — Halloween is not just for children.
Joe Parrish dressed up as Batman, not just any Batman. He chose the 1989 model.
The costume took a year and a half to make and weighs 89 pounds, he said.
Parrish, fitness trainer at Anytime Fitness, went to work and caused an uproar among patrons who were shocked to see him in full costume at work, he said.
The base of the costume is a wet suit. He hand made and assembled most of the costume including the gloves, emblem, boots and molding.
He also has his own personal Batmobile. He drives a black 1985 Corvette.
He chose to make the costume because he is a fan of the movies and it was a lot of fun, he said.
Parrish took first place at a costume contest at the Porter House Tuesday night.
