Memorial services scheduled throughout the Basin

COLUMBIA BASIN — Memorial services will be held throughout the Columbia Basin Monday in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

The annual Veteran's Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Pioneer Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 14403 Road 2 N.E. in Moses Lake. The service is a cooperative effort of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Benson Family Funeral Services.

American Legion and VFW Honor Guards will perform three memorial services Monday at Soap Lake, Ephrata and Quincy cemeteries. Soap Lake's ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m., Ephrata for 11 a.m. and Quincy for 12:30 p.m.

Othello VFW Post 8889 will hold a ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens on Cemetery Road in Othello.

Most government and business offices will be closed in recognition of the Memorial Day holiday.
