Clyde "Dale" DeVore
Clyde "Dale" DeVore, 76, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away from lung cancer on Monday, May 8 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Moses Lake.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19 at Kayser's Chapel of Memories in Moses Lake with Pastor Jody Bowser of Moses Lake Alliance Church officiating. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.
Dale was born July 26, 1929 in Pendleton, Ore., to Harry and Pauline DeVore, one of seven children. He attended Pendleton schools and joined the Army, serving in Japan. Dale married Rosemary Fattig in Pendleton on May 26, 1949, where they had two children. Dale and family moved to Moses Lake in 1956 where he worked for the Boeing Company. In 1962, Boeing relocated Dale and family from Moses Lake to several states, finally settling at Maple Valley (Seattle) in 1965. Dale left Boeing in 1973 after 16 years, and with Rosemary, returned to Cascade Valley of Moses Lake, following a brief stay in Oregon. Dale's wife, Rosemary passed away in July 2006 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Dale and family enjoyed many activities including boating, water skiing, camping, hiking, gardening, and dancing. He was a lifetime member of the BPOE#1930 Moses Lake Elks.
Dale is survived by daughters Bonnie Foutch of Tacoma and Marcia Vandeway of Bonney Lake; two grandchildren, Leah and Matthew of Bonney Lake; mother Pauline DeVore-Cox and sister Barbara Percival, both of Rochester; sister Beverly Gladney of Apple Valley, Calif.; and brother Marvin DeVore of Portland, Ore.
Dale's daughters have requested flowers to be sent to Kayser's Chapel of Memories in Moses Lake and any donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in Dale DeVore's name.
