Betty Louise McKeever Ostrander, beloved mother, sister, and friend, succumbed to cancer May 12, at the age of 79. She was born in Norwood, Col., June 3, 1926, and grew up in Grand Junction and Boulder. She relocated to Moses Lake in 1955 and made it her home. She is survived by her children: Daniel New Ostrander and his wife Tula, Susan Ann Osborn and her husband Chuck, John William Ostrander and his fiancee Katy Stangeland and Bonnie Ruth Gosline and her husband Jim. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jeremy, Allison, Haley, Kyle, Lisa, Lindsay and Wilmon; and her great-grandchildren; Thia, Samuel, Ella and Emilia; and by her brother Charles McKeever and his wife Shirley. A graduate of Boulder High and the University of Colorado, Betty, a registered medical technologist, devoted many years to her profession as laboratory director of Samaritan Hospital and later as an elected member of the Samaritan Healthcare Board of Commissioners. She was an avid gardener, bridge player and an all around good sport. She loved her family dearly. Betty will be missed by all who were graced to know her. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her honor to Children's Hospital Guild Association, 4800 Sand Point Way N.E., P.O. Box 50020/S200, Seattle WA 98145 or P.E.O. Projects, 4695 Joey Rd. N.E., Moses Lake WA 98837. A celebration of Betty's life will be held in the near future.
