Grant County Fire District 5 responded to a residential fire on Airway Drive at 1:20 p.m. Thursday. Assistant Chief Dale Bjork stated that the fire was put out in 15 minutes and mop up of the scene continued for another hour. An older man and young boy, home at the time of the fire, escaped without injury, but the mobile home was completely destroyed. Bjork stated that the cause of the fire was related to the boy and gave no further details. Red Cross was contacted for assistance due to lack of insurance on the home.
