Mary Louise Hite
Mary Louise Hite, 78, Moses Lake resident, and former longtime Warden resident, passed away Sunday, March 19, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden with Pastor Jody Bowser officiating.
Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.
Viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 8 a.m. until noon.
Mary was preceded in death by her son Russell Hite and her parents Warner and Lorraine Bloom.
She is survived by her husband Don Hite, former farmer from Warden; one son John Hite, wife Aleksandra presently residing in Europe; one daughter Dona Strickland, Moses Lake; grandchildren, Michael Strickland and wife Cathy, Moses Lake; Nicholas Hite and Jenny Hite from Los Angeles, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Micayla Strickland and Marissa Strickland, Moses Lake.
Mary grew up in Los Angeles, Calif. and moved to Oregon in her teens. She met and married Don and they moved to the Warden area in the Columbia Basin in the early 1950s where they owned and operated a farm.
Mary enjoyed sewing, and working in her garden. She loved flowers, but roses were always her favorite. She was a homemaker, loved to sew and cook for family and friends. She will be remembered most for her great sense of humor, her patient, kind and understanding ways. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
