An organizational meeting was held Wednesday night at the Grant County Courthouse to officialize the Grant County Economic & Cultural Exchange. The group will work to promote and encourage Grant County's relationship with its sister city of Gunpo, South Korea. The first board of directors was elected and bylaws were adopted before Grant County Commissioner LeRoy Allison introduced this year's student ambassadors which will be making the trip to Gunpo from July 19-29.

"What I noticed … is how busy these kids are," Allison said during the presentation. "These kids are involved."

Eight students from Warden and Moses Lake will be part of the exchange this year, they are: Matthew Kottong, Brittany Milligan, Spencer Graham, Hanna Green, Christopher Paul, Brendan Brooks, Caritina Cortez and Marshall Kirkpatrick.

Also during the meeting, numerous sponsors were recognized for donating to the program, including the House of Blues which was the largest contributor to the program last year.
