MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man died at a Spokane hospital this morning, after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night.

John D. Flores, 48, reportedly suffered massive head neck and internal injuries in the accident, including a fractured skull and shattered pelvis, after his bicycle was struck by a 1996 Ford Bronco driven by 19-year-old Robert R. Tindall shortly before 8 p.m., according to the Moses Lake Police Department.

He died Thursday morning at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane.

Police reports indicate the bicycle was struck when Flores was heading south on Stratford Road when he reportedly rode out in front of the Ford which had been traveling west on Mart Road.

Police are still investigating the accident, but Moses Lake Police said preliminary investigation and witness statements indicate Tindall crossed the intersection with a green light and was unable to stop when Flores entered the roadway from the sidewalk against a red light.

Flores was transported to Samaritan Hospital following the crash, and was later airlifted to Deaconess.

Moses Lake Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
