Joanne Marie Apple, formerly known as Joanna Marie Cleghorn, went home to be with Jesus on March 14 at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake with family at her side.

She was born on Jan. 1, 1935 in Adams County, N.D. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a deep love for the Lord. She lived most of her life in Redmond, where she worked in her garden and spent time outside bird watching. She was a terrific cook/baker and loved to can fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed playing cards and games with grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed making crocheted blankets, dollies and Christmas stockings for her family. We can still hear her cheering on her M's! GO MARINERS!

She is survived by her husband of 50 years and 9 months, Ervin Apple; brother Lester Cleghorn and his wife from Clovis, N.M.; daughters: Donna Hoffman and her husband of Moses Lake, Mary Reise of Yuba City, Calif., Diana Cheatham of Snoqualmie and Wanda Kessler and her husband of Duvall; son Mike Apple and his wife of Fall City; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
