"ONE-STOP GOVERNMENT CO-LOCATION BUILDING"

MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON

Bid proposals are requested for the construction of a 20,948 square foot office building, related utility extensions and site improvements.

The bids are due on March 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the office of the Owner located at: SKILLSOURCE, 240 North Mission Street, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Sealed bids will be accepted from General Contractors. The Owner's representative will open the bids publicly. General contractor representatives may be present. Bids will be opened at 3:00 p.m. The one hour delay is to allow contractors one hour to submit Appendix A - List of Subcontractors.

Award will be based upon lowest responsible bid. Low bidder shall provide references for owner and architect's verification of satisfactory completion of projects of similar size and complexity.

The project is to be substantially completed within 240 calendar days from the date of commencement under this contract and shall include, but not limited to: slab-on grade, CMU exterior walls, steel stud and drywall interior walls, steel bar joists and metal deck with single-ply roofing membrane and rooftop HVAC units all to be completed per contract documents. Estimated construction cost is 2.4 to 2.7 million dollars.

Davis Bacon wage rates shall apply. The apprentice labor hours required for this project are 15% of the total labor hours.

All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond made payable to SkillSource in the sum equal to or at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract within the time specified in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited.

The Owners reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.

The Owner hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisment, minority business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, nationality or disability in consideration for an award.

Plans and specification may be obtained at the office of the Architect, M. J. Neal Associates, 200 Palouse, Suite 202, Wenatchee, WA 98801, (509)663-6455 for a fee of $150.00, refundable, if plans are returned in good condition within 10 days of bid. General contractors may receive a maximum of two sets with a deposit for each one. Major electrical and mechanical contractors may receive one set only with a deposit. If additional sets are required, they may be purchased at the office of the Architect.
