| June 20, 2006 9:00 PM

Cora was born in Spokane to Milton and Evelyn Bischoff of Othello on July 8, 1942. She went to be with the Lord on June 14 with her family by her side at Sacred Heart Medical Center following a long illness.

Cora was raised in Othello and graduated from OHS in 1960, then she attended Kinman Business University in Spokane. On June 30, 1961 she married her high school sweetheart Jay Nichols. Cora was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and community member. She and Jay raised their four children in Othello with lots of love and a strong sense of family values. This was shown through the many family gatherings she hosted at their home. While raising her children and being a homemaker Cora worked part time as a meat wrapper. She also enjoyed and was proud of her work as the ISS (In School Suspension) supervisor at McFarland Junior High and Othello High School.

Cora is survived by Jay, her loving husband of 45 years and her three daughters and one son. Terri Nichols relocated to the family home two years ago to be the care provider for her parents. Tony Nichols and wife Kristi live in Juneau, Alaska. Denise Goodwin and husband Brad reside in Lyndon Center, Vt. Vicki Hollenbeck and husband Ryan live in Othello. Her grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life are Brianne, Kayla, Levi, Colton, and Jaxson; Dylan, Breanna, Rossen, and Sawyer; Mykiah and Logan. She is also survived by three sisters, Laura Drew and husband Harvey of Moses Lake, Linda Jamieson and husband Larry of Connell, and Jeanne Waddell and husband Cecil of Walla Walla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Jay Lee and grandson Matthew. Services were held Monday, June 19 at the Nazarene Church in Othello.
