Moses Lake man arrested on drug charges
MOSES LAKE — A 47-year-old employee at a truck washing business was arrested while on the job Wednesday evening after authorities allegedly found illegal drugs and paraphernalia, following a search of his pickup truck and the outside of the business.
The employee, Rodney W. Moyes, of Moses Lake, was arrested by police just after closing the business where he works as a semi-truck washer in the parking lot of Ernie's Truck Stop on Kittelson Road, just southeast of Moses Lake.
Moyes was booked into Grant County Jail on anticipated charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine and other violations of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office.
Moyes' vehicle and the business were searched by the Inter-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team, Moses Lake Police Department and Grant County Sheriff's Office using warrants.
Exercising the warrants, police also searched a residence in the 6600 block of Jonathan Road in Mae Valley. Inside the residence authorities allegedly found prescription drugs, marijuana and approximately three grams of methamphetamine.
The prescription drugs will be sent to the Washington State Patrol crime lab for evaluation.
