Randall Dee Reeves
Randall Dee Reeves of Moses Lake passed away June 2 at the age of 51.
Reeves was born Feb. 21, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Alhambra High School in Martinez, Calif.
Reeves served in the Navy for 10 years and began work at ASiMI in 1997 and retired in 2005 after being stricken with kidney cancer.
Randall (Randy) was a fighter and a hero, he fought cancer so hard and as aggressive as it was, he fought harder. He was so amazing through it all.
He truly enjoyed the Boy Scouts and what they stand for. He was actively involved in the program beginning in 1991 when his first son, Jon, became a Tiger Cub and then earned his eagle in 2004. His younger son Dustin will be earning his Eagle very soon. He is one proud dad and scoutmaster of Troop 69.
He went to camp outs, even when sick, because "the boys were his mojo!" Randy had six Eagle Scouts under his leadership.
He was the master of "winging it." He could pull meetings, speeches, etc. out of the air. He was funny and did a great job. No one knew he wasn't prepared.
He would go help his wife bathe dogs here and there in his busy schedule.
Randy was a great man and thoughtful of others still saying thank you to everyone around him. He was so special and he will be missed by many.
Reeves is survived by his wife of 21 years Susan L. and two sons Jon R. and Dustin B.
Private services will be held Sunday, June 18.
