H. Darrel Skeesick
Moses Lake resident H. Darrel Skeesick passed away on Saturday, June 10 in the privacy of his home surrounded by family.
Darrel was born Oct. 14, 1927 to Bert and Mabel Skeesick in Big Fork, Minn. He married Marion M. Abraham on Nov. 9, 1945, while serving in the U.S. Military. After separation from the military in 1946 he worked for the Northern Pacific Railway until moving to Moses Lake in 1956. He worked for Beeline Frame and Axle with his uncle Ted Hulbert for many years. Then he opened and ran his own business in Ephrata until his retirement.
Darrel and Marion were very active in the community and attended most sporting events while supporting their four sons. They enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, golf and anything that they could do with their family and friends.
As in life, Darrel and Marion were not apart for long. Darrel was preceded in death by his wife Marion on May 28.
He is survived by his four sons: Lon and Andrea Skeesick, Pullman; Jeff and Terry Skeesick, Spokane; Mark Skeesick, Shreveport; and Craig and Rhonda Skeesick, Spokane; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. In addition, brothers: Duane and Jim Sypnieski, Minn.; and RoseMary and Ken Kramer, Minn.; Marion's brother, Joe and Char Abraham, Texas and her sister, Sara and Chuck McClellan, Olympia.
Darrel and Marion will be missed by many. They were great Moses Lake Chief supporters, wonderful neighbors and good friends to many. The family would like to especially thank Tom and Heather Hansen, Ken and Carol Bramble for all their love and caring and Hospice and Addus Health Care for their support and kindness.
