Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Born Lottie Louise Goebel in Lusk, Wyo., she was raised in her early childhood in Cedaredge, Colo. before moving to Moses Lake in 1954. Lottie attended Frontier Junior High School and Central High School in Moses Lake where she was senior class secretary and graduated with honors.

Lottie married Richard Hemore in 1960 while he was stationed at Larson AFB. Richard and Lottie moved to Tacoma when Richard was transferred to McCord AFB. There she gave birth to Michael and Kim. The family moved back to the Goebel family farm in Moses Lake in 1962. Son Roger was born in Moses Lake in 1965.

As a stay-at-home mom in the early years, she loaded up her children almost every week to take road trips to the many sites and attractions across all of eastern Washington. There's probably not a museum that exists in this part of the state that they hadn't visited often. Not to mention the many historical markers that were always a part of these trips. This education of her children continued throughout her life.

She loved history and was especially interested in learning all she could about Lewis and Clark and their trip on the Oregon Trail.

Lottie had a love of antiques and spent much of her time in the 1960s bottle hunting and searching for Indian arrow heads. She helped others learn about the art of bottle collecting. All of her bottles were found, not purchased, and were on display annually in the collectibles booth at the Grant County Fair while Lottie, along with her best friend Beth, were the building superintendents.

In 1970, she moved off of the family farm with her husband and three children. They moved a few times then purchased their home on W. Oregon St. where she continues to reside in our hearts and influence our lives.

She was active in many aspects of the community helping to create and build membership in the Moses Lake Bass club, the Moses Lake Kids Wrestling club and the Moses Lake chapter of the Audubon Society. For those friends involved in these activities, it would seem Lottie would not have time to engage in others due to her devotion to their club's success. She was on the board or named to a chair or titled role many years for each of these organizations and often took responsibility for creation and distribution of their news letters.

Lottie's many loves and hobbies include spending time in her garden with her flowers and plants, spending time with her friends and family and helping to raise her grandchildren. She had the most giving heart and had a love of nature, wildlife and the environment, teaching all to appreciate and respect them as she did.

She is preceded in her journey to the Lord by her mother, Lottie Louise (Aufdengarten) Goebel (1957) and her father Paul Goebel Sr. (1986).

She is dearly missed by husband Richard (Dick), sister Myrna Fedor, brother Paul Goebel Jr., children Michael and Roger Hemore of Moses Lake, Kim Long of Tacoma, grandchildren Haley Hemore, Alisha and Justin Long and many other family and friends.

Donations may be made in Lottie's name to Central Basin Audubon Society, P.O. Box 86, Moses Lake, WA 98837.
