Kerry (Trask) Workman

| June 9, 2006 9:00 PM

After a valiant three-year battle with cancer, Kerry Workman, age 52, went home to be with her Lord June 6, 2006. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Moses Lake. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Swedish Cancer Institute Charity Care, 1221 Madison, Seattle, WA, 98104.

Kerry was preceded in death by her father, Farrell "Skeet" Trask. She is survived by her daughter, Allison Workman, of Seattle; her son, David Workman, of Kihei, Maui; her mother, Lee Lihou of Moses Lake; and her siblings, Farrell Trask of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; Carlene Lalumondier of Greensboro, N.C.; Jennifer Ely of Prosser, and Gayle Reeves of Spokane. She is remembered and loved by these and countless other family members and friends.

Kerry was born and raised in Moses Lake. She married and lived in Longview, where she raised her children until moving the family to Maui. She was a life-long entepreneur, investing her time and considerable energy in numerous pursuits, including wallpapering, Paradise Espresso, and most recently, fitness instruction and personal training. An athlete, Kerry paddled outrigger canoe competitively throughout the Pacific. She loved life, her family, her friends, her kids. She wants to be remembered as a great mom, a wonderful daughter and sister, a cherished friend and a child of God.

Kerry's persistent request when preparing for her homegoing was that her memorial services (Moses Lake and later in Maui) would be celebrations. She will love it if you come with fun stories and colorful attire. Aloha Oe, beloved Kerry.
