Albert Richard Winchester
Albert Richard Winchester, 99, passed away Monday, June 5, 2006 at Summer Wood Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Moses Lake.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2006 at Pioneer Memorial Gardens with Pastor Floyd Wilks officiating. A reception will follow at Summer Wood, 830 N.W. Sunburst Court, Moses Lake. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory.
Albert was born January 11, 1907 in Denver, Colo. to Albert and Della (Brower) Winchester.
At a young age he moved with his family to Billings, Mont., where he was raised and educated.
He married Virginia Bohn in 1938 in Wallace, Idaho. They made their home in northern Idaho until moving to Heron, Mont., in 1959.
In 1961 they moved to Warden, where he worked as a welder at Warden Welding until his retirement in 1972.
After retirement, they moved back to Heron, Mont.
They moved to Moses Lake in 1987 to be near their daughter.
Virginia passed away in 1994. Virginia and Albert had been married for 55 years.
Albert loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, driving, playing cards with his family and working with his hands.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Darwin Beehner of Moses Lake; two grandchildren, Karen Sutter of Tumwater and Tom Beehner of Wenatchee; two great-grandsons, Corey and Tracy Sutter; and six nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by six siblings.
