Allie Mae (Emerson) Fisher

Allie Mae (Emerson) Fisher, age 74, was born in Weathers, Okla. on Dec. 22, 1931, a daughter of Clarence L. Emerson and Ola (Burge) Emerson. Allie completed her elementary schooling in Longview, spent her ninth grade in Wapato and completed her high school education in Yakima. She graduated from Yakima Senior High School June 9, 1950 with a straight A math score.

She married Joe Fisher March 9, 1972 in Moses Lake. Together they owned and operated Basin Oil Company (a Chevron Petroleum Bulk Plant) and 13 service stations (JR's Economarts and JR's Town Pump and Car Washes) until their retirement on Dec. 22, 1999 (Allie's 68th birthday).

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Lynn Appleby; a younger brother, Clarence (Pete) Emerson Jr., an Alaskan bush pilot and her parents, Clarence and Ola Emerson.

She is survived by Joe Fisher, her best friend and loving husband of 34 years, three siblings, four children from her previous marriage, two children from her husband's previous marriage, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 14 nephews and nieces.

Siblings: older sister and husband Louise and George Baker of Roswell, N.M., older brother and wife James and Charlene Emerson of Beaumont, Calif. and younger sister and husband Shirley and Leon Rydberg of Bremerton.

Children by first marriage to Virgil Appleby: son and wife Fr. (Daniel) Aaron and Lily Appleby of Yucca Valley, Calif., son and wife Darrell and Fredene Appleby of Moses Lake, daughter and husband Gina and Jerry Estrin of Moses Lake, daughter and husband: Lisa and Tom Schiffner of Kent.

Stepchildren: son and wife Jerome and Mary Fisher of Moses Lake and son Daniel Fisher of Portland, Ore.

Grandchildren/great-grandchildren: Chadwick Appleby, Courtney (Appleby) Plaisted and Brian Plaisted and sons Skyler and Carter, Michael and Helen Pugh and sons Nathan and Tanner, Eric Pugh and Ronda Price and son Blake, Jennifer (Pugh) Valdez and daughters Jordyn, Jaydyn, and Jocelynn, Amy (Pugh) Beliz and son Moises, Trissa Schiffner, Jason Schiffner, Michelle (Schiffner) and David Bibeau, Rebecca Fisher and John (JR) Fisher.

She always loved, respected and remembered her family.
