Trena Kay Martindale Mercier Koziol
Trena Kay Martindale Mercier Koziol was born July 29, 1955. Trena left this life to the arms of our Lord, July 24 after a most courageous battle with cancer.
Trena was born in Connell to Chester and Dorothy Martindale. The fourth of six children, Trena grew up a country girl. She rode horses, helped raise pigs and chickens, milked the cows and enjoyed every minute of being outdoors. Trena never met a wild bird or animal she didn't love. When Trena was growing up, country kids swam in the canals and she was there every chance she got.
In 1973, Trena married Don Mercier and they had one son, Shane. Her favorite thing to do was take Shane to the parks and pool to enjoy the outdoors and the sun.
Trena married Doug Koziol July 26, 1986. They had a son, Kurtis, and a daughter, Alicia. Trena's children were the love of her life.
After working various jobs in the Moses Lake area, Trena spent the last eight years at the home being a housewife and mother.
She enjoyed going to the casino, garage sales and spending precious time with her grandchildren.
Trena was preceded in death by her father, Chester Martindale and sister Shirley Anderson.
She is survived by her mother Dorothy Martindale of Spokane; her husband Doug Koziol, son Kurtis Koziol and daughter Alicia Koziol, all at home in Moses Lake; son and daughter-in-law Shane and Michelle Mercier, two grandchildren Aubree Mercier and Hunter Mercier all of Spokane; two sisters and their husbands: Deloris and Chuck Gaylord of Spokane and Pam and Keven Beckstrom in Houston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law Rona and Jacque Martindale in Little Rock, Ark.; brother Jerry Martindale, Orondo and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Your family loves you Trena and we will miss your twinkling eyes and glorious laugh for the rest of our days.
